Fireball Whiskey Jello Shots

Updated August 2026 First and foremost, I need to let you all know that if you eat these Jello shots; YOU will NOT turn into that Fire Breathing scary thing that's on the fireball whiskey bottle. Instead, you'll feel all happy & what not. I promise. One great thing about Jello shots is that they are made to be shared. Don't ever eat them alone..... That would make me sad. Go share these spooktacularly tasty orange/apple/cinnamon Jello shots with your neighbor. That would make me (and your neighbor) very happy. FIREBALL WHISKEY JELLO SHOTS 2 Cups Apple Cider 1 Small box Orange Jello 1 Cup Fireball Whiskey Bring Apple Cider to a boil in saucepan. Remove from heat. Add orange Jello and dissolve. Cool 15 minutes. Add whiskey. Pour into Jello shot containers and refrigerate until set. Note: For best flavor refrigerate for at least 2 days to get full apple/orange/cinnamon yumminess! ...

Coconut Rum Soaked Pineapple

Did you know that the Pineapple is a Universal Symbol for Hospitality? That's an exact fit for these Coconut Rum Soaked Pineapple Tidbits. How much more Hospitable can a person get when they serve a bowlful of alcohol soaked fruit to their guests? Not much.... It's a favorite of mine & I've been wanting to share this on my blog for a while. Thanks to a friend with a fresh pineapple in her refrigerator & a spur of the moment plan, I was able to post this recipe sooner than expected. Oh boy, it tasted really good. The Coconut Rum Flavor just seeps right into the pineapple. Needless to say, we ate the whole thing! What a great way to spend an afternoon, Nibbling on Pineapple, sharing stories & laughing.....lots of laughing. Laughter is good for the Soul. I highly recommend it...Let's call it "Pineapple Therapy" Coconut Rum Soaked Pineapple I...

Slow Cooker Apple Pie

I was raised on home made from scratch apple pie and this slow cooker recipe runs a close second to that mmmm feels good in my belly kinda sweet treat. It makes me remember back to when my mom would gather up apples from the trees that grew around the farm pasture. She would make a great big deep dish 9x13 pie- scratch crust and all......I couldn't get enough of that stuff when I was a kid. Slow Cooker Apple Pie ...

Butter Toffee Crack Cookies {Slow Cooker}

Updated August 31, 2026 You are probably wondering by now why the word "crack" is used to describe these yummy little delights..................... I'll give you a hint: It doesn't have anything to do with what you see when your big bellied neighbor bends over. It's because they're made with Ritz Crackers! Get it? Cracker. Crack. Ha ha ha. I know. Moving on..... The awesome combination of sweet, salty and buttery make your mouth go mmm.... hmmm. ( I borrowed that from Luke Bryan). And once again, they're super easy to make. You just melt the chocolate in your slow cooker, add some heath buttery toffee bits and dip away. Butter Toffee "Crack" Cookies 2 Sleeves Ritz Crackers 12 Ounces Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips 12 Ounces Chocolate Almond Bark 1/2 Cup Heath English Toffee Bits (plus additional bits for garnish) Optional: Finely Chopped Nuts, White Chocolate Drizzle Place C...

Slow Cooker Corn on the Cob

Sweet Corn. Slow Cooker. Yep. I've been seeing a few recipes floating around the Internet for cooking sweet corn in the slow cooker. The first step called for wrapping the husked cobs in aluminum foil..... I was intrigued. But Lazy.... My initial thought was: Hmmm...messing around with aluminum foil sounds like work; and if you haven't noticed lately, I love my food to have that down home cookin' flavor, but without the fuss. Work SMARTER , not HARDER , girlfriend. It's my new motto. So I came up with the idea to nix the foil. I basically slathered ( my manly man loathes that word, slathered) the husked cobs with butter, added a little water to the bottom of my slow cooker and tossed in the corn. The cobs cooked on low for approx. 3 hours. I think they would have been fine steaming away even...

Mom's Best Marshmallow & Coconut Fruit Salad

There are memories from my childhood that are triggered purely by the smell or taste of a certain food. One bite of Mom's fruit salad does that to me. It takes me back to a time when the only things on my mind were finding good food for my belly & figuring out where my next ultimate never ever gonna find me hide- and- go- seek spot would be... She's been making this recipe since I can first remember, and it still tastes the same to me today as it did over 30 years ago. I made it for Easter Dinner this year & I had to chuckle a little when I saw my Dad's plate filled with this fruit salad & nothing else. He apparently remembered how good it tasted too... Mom's Best Marshmallow & Coconut Fruit Salad 20 Ounces Pineapple Chunks, Drained (or 2 Cups Fresh) 11 Ounce Can Mandarin Oranges, Drained 10 Ounces Maraschino Cherries, Drained & Halved 16 Ounces Sour Cream ...

{CopyCat} Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies

I could start with a long-winded story about how these minty buggers were a childhood favorite. And with every last bite, I'm forever transported back to the days when cookies took me to la-la land on a vividly minty green cloud fluffed with happiness. Well, it's sorta like that. Now days, I get the same euphoria not only from good recipes, but from the ease of preparation. So simple. Just toss the chocolate in the slow cooker (if you're a good shot, you could literally practice your nothin' but net maneuver from across the kitchen). Melt on low for an hour and dip your crackers in the chocolate. That's it. These thin mint cookies taste like the real thing. No kidding. Don't let the ritz cracker thing fool ya...... Made in slow cooker...pure heaven, on a cracker. {Copycat} Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies Made in Slow Cooker ...

Lime & Coconut Rum Jello Shots

This very cliche' song is swirling around in my noggin. You put the lime in the coconut and ....... well, you probably know the rest. Would it be too "hokey" to admit that dang overly referred to (but catchy) song was the inspiration for my jello shot recipe? It really was. In fact, I was dancing to it in my head and singing it out loud when I was making these tasty little boozy bombers last week. Double the fun. I was dancing AND giggling after a few "samples". {insert sheepish grin here } Lime & Coconut Rum Jello Shots ...

Slow Cooker Ham & Scalloped Potatoes

Love me some 'Taters and Ham. Topped with a little extra love.... And Cheese. A simple momma can never go wrong when dishing up a serving ( or two ) of both. Speaking of simple, this recipe should be the definition of the word " simple" . All you gotta do is layer the ingredients in the slow cooker, put the lid on that bad boy and walk away. JUST WALK AWAY, My Friends. Walk. Away. Slow Cooker Cheesy Ham & Scalloped Potatoes SLOW COOKER SCALLOPED POTATOES AND HAM ...

Slow Cooker Baked Potatoes

I had one of those very rare weekday occasions when we all gathered around the dinner table....at the same time! I was feeling particularly giddy with myself over this new recipe. My family is used to seeing me this way because I tend to get a little over-excited when a new recipe turns out...it's like I had a permanent grin all through dinner from watching someone eating a baked potato. Ahhh...sometimes it's the simple things in life that give you the most pleasure. Pin It Slow Cooker Baked Potatoes These potatoes were moist & delicious....And they're Super Easy to make! Here's what you'll need: Slow Cooker Baked Potatoes 6 Medium Potatoes (I used Russet) 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1/4 Teaspoon Salt 1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper Clean & rinse potatoes (my vegetable scrubber worked really well for this).
