Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork



Slow Cookers can be such a timesaver in the kitchen & the meals that come out of them always taste like you put alot of effort into preparing them.  This recipe is no exception.....

Whenever I try a new recipe from my collection of cookbooks, I write down the date beside the recipe & put a little note about how it tasted....this one's been a hit with the fam since 2004....

SLOW COOKER BBQ PULLED PORK

3 Pounds Pork Roast
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
Salt & Pepper to Taste
1 (18 Ounce ) Bottle Barbeque Sauce ( Sweet Baby Ray's is our Favorite)

Place Pork Roast into Slow Cooker.  Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt & pepper.  Pour barbeque sauce over meat.  Cook on low 6 to 8 hours.
Remove meat from slow cooker, remove excess fat, shred, and return to slow cooker.  Cook for one hour more.

Variations:
To make pork sandwiches, top pork with:

a slice of cheddar cheese
OR
 a helping of coleslaw & serve on sub roll.
OR 
Serve pulled pork over a helping of mashed potatoes.
