Chateau Grand Traverse Late Harvest Riesling

Wine always tastes better with friends & fam.

I recently had a chance to sip & share a bottle (or two) of this wine with a group of really great gals.

Chateau Grand Traverse Late Harvest Riesling

Late Harvest wines tend to have a heavier sweetness to them, but this particular Late Harvest Riesling is on the lightly sweet, smoother finish side. Late harvest wine is a general term for wine which has been made from grapes harvested late in the growing season, allowing them to ripen fully and produce lots of sugar. This is why people that like sweeter tasting wine tend to gravitate toward Late Harvest Wines....

Because it has such a sweet & mellow flavor, it's another one those types of wines that non wine drinking people seem to really enjoy.  (my gal pals would agree!)

It's made at the  Chateau Grand Traverse  Winery Located on the Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City, Michigan.  There are many wonderful vineyards & wineries in the local area.  It's a great place to visit...especially for wine lovers!
